Care & Cleaning - vinyl flooring
Caring for your Vinyl Flooring
- Clean floor using a vacuum, broom, dust mop or wipe with damp cloth.
- For spills just wipe up with cloth or sponge.
- In sandy areas keep floor clean at all times to avoid surface scratching.
- Do not use soap-based detergents or “mop & shine” products as they may leave a dull film on your floor. Use an approved cleaner from the Manufacturer!
- Do not wax or polish your floor.
- Use a well-squeezed damp mop for cleaning. Never flood floor with water or cleaner. After damp mopping, dry floor thoroughly with clean cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring powder, which can scratch your floor.
- Remove tough spots like shoe polish, tar & asphalt driveway sealer, paint, adhesive or oil with alcohol or nail polish remover containing acetone. Follow instructions on label.
- Place rugs or floor mats at entry doors to collect tracked-in dirt & absorb excess moisture.
- Use proper floor protectors under chairs & all furniture. Self leveling nylon/felt bottoms for chairs & cut to fit felt for furniture.
